I am doing my hazard perfection driving test tomorrow.

I have done practice tests and I feel that it is the most pointless waste of time I have ever seen.

How does sitting at a screen, looking out for hazards and clicking a mouse train you for the real thing when you are at the car wheel looking for hazards.

You can do the hazard perception test without having ever been in a car!

Your views please...

cus if you cant spot a bin lorry coming round a corner on a computer screen then you dont deserve to be driving! :P

its the easiest thing in the world to pass... seriously the hazard perception test is a LOT easier than the ones you revise with... I laughed my ass off afterwards how obvious the things were!

I think its a waste of time and money - the latter being the obvious choice for the government. The test costs £20, and now you have two things to pass, if you do really well in one, but fail the other - then you have to take them both again! Another £20!
There's also some rubbish going round about if you click too many times it thinks you are cheating so fails you, or if you click in a rhythm you are cheating??! what?
Plus if there is a herd of cows do you click one cow or them all?

you only need to pass the test once, then it lasts for like 2 years, which is long enough I guess, although I'm now coming upto my 3rd attempt at my actual real test and damn at £40 its not good... I'm sure they purposely fail people for the fun of it, cus I've had SO many lessons and every time I get failed its for stupid things that I really wish I could appeal on, but I dont think its even possible to appeal on them is it? =\

ahh well, pity you can't just sit one part of the test tho...
