Who does the 'supermarket run' in your household?
Is it the women or the man? Or do you go together? And is the matter of who goes a bone of contention?

No choice in my house as there's only me and the dog. I've thought about fitting Max with panniers as it's his food that weighs a lot. I'm getting a lot better as I get older in asking for help when required anything to mean I don't have to go to the smelly counters for perfume presents and I hate Meadowhell.
Tesco shopping on-line is wonderful and I've discovered a pet shop that can deliver Max food by the sackful which is helpful.

my mum, she insists on doing it or else the food supply would simply be beer and crisps if me and/or my dad did it

We both go, but I usually give her a ten minute start while I sit in the car (secretly hoping she's half way round by the time I go in) then I trundle round 'on tow' and fill the carriers. Oh the joys!

Just to set the record straight, Nax is my dog big, black, lazy, labrador cross alsatian. I would never insinuate that Max the Mod should be fitted with panniers or looks like my dog, after all my dog Max is handsome and has all the girls fussing over him.

See, that's exactly what I meant.

The weekly shop in our house is a joint effort, full of arguments and lashings of stress.

We both hate going around supermarkets - we absolutely detest the places. Soon be Friday. Oh dear, it's bringing me out in a wild panic thinking about it.

The shoppings not so bad, it's finding a place to put it all once you get home, i'm too lazy to rotate things so last things get eaten first.

why is it that my husband can spend £21 on a tray of guiness, but if i stick a £5 bottle of wine into the trolley the shopping bill will be the national debt, but then again this is the same guy that once asked me if fabric conditioner was actually need when doing the washing...............MEN............

I can't believe it I'm discussing fabric conditioner, oh the shame of it!!
I've never used the stuff in fact I'm sure I've been told it reduces the absorbency of towels and the like. I don't itch well apart from the fleas and I wear a wide range of differing materials.

Ah - the 'delaying tactic!' I do this. Whilst Mrs D is getting the vegetables, I go and read the magazines. I hate vegetables:rolleyes:

Mum and dad, sometimes alone, sometimes together!

If I ever go with my Dad he hates it.. I always seem to be hungry when I go and end up wanting everything :D

Both of us,but I am purely in the capacity of native porter. If I have been very good I am allowed to push the trolley, but I still don`t understand why it costs me £1 a time.

:D :D :D did the weekly shop at morrisons, took me one and a half hours, never again.
queued at the bacon counter for about 15 mins then realised i had to obtain a raffle ticket (wondered why they kept shouting numbers out, thought i was back in the gala bingo).
oh and the queues at the checkout, i'm just glad they provide magazines for you to browse at.
never ,isay,never again :D :D

Online shopping rules the roost.
Do it once every 2 months and pick up milk, veg, etc once a week
The delivery drivers must hate me :D
