I'm looking for somewhere to climb indoors? I think there might be somewhere near Bramall Lane, but don't know what it's called and stuff?

Thanks!!!!!

Found this on the 'Introduce Me To Sheffield' thread. You might be able to PM him for more information.

You should take up climbing which Sheffield specialises in. I started about 4-6 months ago when a friend invited me and I've been hooked ever since, although I only do indoor climbing at the moment.

There's the Foundry and the Edge which are indoor climbing walls about 2-3 storeys high, but you need someone to belay so you'll need to bring at least one friend along. You'll also need to learn how to belay if neither you nor they have ever climbed before. Sheffield Hallam probably has a climbing club; I know that the University of Sheffield does.

Then there's bouldering which is indoor climbing on walls about 3-4 metres high with handholds and features. The floors of these are crashmats so you don't climb with ropes. There's the Matrix at the University of Sheffield gym or The Works off Chesterfield Road which is the world's biggest indoor bouldering centre.
