For the past couple of weeks i have been feeling strangley dizzy, have had banging headaches, found it difficult to say words (not often) and walk into things and seem to be more clumsy.

At first i was seriously concerned with it, until my missus has started feeling the same. This made me ask around at work and lots of other people have had the same feelings, and dont know what it is and were beggining to panic.

So...

Has anybody else felt this way, or have any idea to why we all are?

We all live round the crystal peaks area of sheffield branching out as far as Hackenthopre and Eckington.

Cheers!

We had something similar at my office building a few weeks back but couldn't work out what was causing it... quite worrying but it passed after a month or so...

Government experiments? Something in the water? Let me know if you find anything!

There has been a virus around that causes the same symptoms, quite a few where I work have had it.

I blame mobile phone masts.

Yeah I have had the same feelings, it seems to be around this area. I think there is something in the air or water. I had the weekend away and felt fine, came back and the headaches started again.

I would think that you get your water from the same place as everyone else in Sheffield ?

I can't hink of anything "toxic" near Woodhouse, except perhaps Beighton tip.

What about the ONYX waste disposal - that gets rid of toxic waste doesn't it ?

Hmm, I had these symptoms last week too. I had a bad headache all week and was off work on Wednesday cos I felt sick and dizzy. It was pretty unpleasant. Feel OK again now though so I'd put it down to a virus I think?

Possibilites...

Water - we have seven trents water. Different supply to most parts of sheffield

Air - Holbrook industrial estate often pumps out this foul TCP smelling waste.

Gas - Whats with all the gas pipes and pumps and smells around crystal peaks

Mobile masts - Where exactly are these? Is there a map of them?

Virus - A minor brain virus slowly spreading throught Sheffield (Its that time of year)

Imagination - One person gets a headache, the next person thinks they have a headache and knows someone with a headache etc...

I have no ideas, i just know i dont like feeling like this...

Maybe its the supermarket we all shop at. I shop at Morrisons and Asda. Morrisons as of late, only whilst i have been ill.

Its an inner ear canal infection commonly called Vertigo. Its proper name is Labaryntitus. It lasts up to 4 weeks and theres no medicine to cure it but you can get a prescription for Stomazil (or summat) that masks the symptoms slightly.

Don't drive/operate machinery if you have this virus.

I've had "the Dizzies" (and no before you ask, it's not the dizzy blondes) for about 3 weeks, and it's awful.

I put it down to a virus, too.

I get flares of it from time to time, and it's a darn nusaince.

Stemetil helps, somewhat, as does Stugeron (both similar anti-nausea meds).

I had an ex who suffered badly from that. She had a month off work and it took her over a year for it to fully disappear. :(
