they do a tasty carvery at the crosspool tavern i hear, they also do it in the week apparently its very good value during the week.

wemt to dempsey's at the bottom of the moor the other week and that where we paid five pounds and you could have as much or as little as you wanted....their meat was fantastic.

Sportsman out towards wyming brook? and people fly kites on the field out the back.

Riverside is good, and they sell Stanford Press cider!

Hillsborough Old Barracks sells very good food on a sunday.

Crosspool tavern is £2.99 in the week, £3.99 on Sunday.
Usual stuff, meat, veg, yorkshires, roasties.

I will try some of your suggestions. i have been to crosspool loads of times but I am going off it. I don't think it is all that good now.

Toby Carvery on (Ecclesall Road South) is good for food :)

However it is a crap pub "the Wheatsheaf" as it was used to be my local for many years but they ruined it when they changed it to the Toby Inn :(
