After loosing my little angel, Enya, I want to buy a memorial stone for her resting place. We want a granite or marble stone and as well as an insription, we also want it embossed with a yorkshire rose and scottish thistle (she came from scotland). Any recommendations where to get this?. i also want a card for her breeder, who is as heartbroken as we are, a rainbow bridge one if possible. can anyone tell me were to get one, or is anyone willing to make me a handmade card (i will of course pay you)
thankyou xx

As regards a stone, I think the monumental masons opposite the cemetery on city road may do them - are they called Tylers?

I'll ask my sis about the card - she works for Hallmark

I've asked, but the reply at the mo is 'don't think so'

she'll check when she gets to work though

is a blank dog card suitable for customising? you can get some very nice black and white dog cards at the mo

Can't find much :(

This is American but you might be able to order from them:

I will also ask as I know someone who makes cards...

thankyou for all your kind offers and help. One of my workmates is very kindly doing me a handmade card, with a little bead rainbow on it. going to find a suitable memorial later this week as on nights. Need something on her resting place as say goodnight and good morning to her every day

Hmm I had this problem last week - I spent ages looking for an appropriate card; tried Marks & Spencers, Clintons & WHSmiths but didn't find anything particularly suitable :(
All sympathy cards just seem to be a bunch of flowers.
WHSmiths do some nice cards that have black and white photos of dogs on the front and plain inside, but OH thought it would be insensitive to send someone a picture of a dog when theirs has just died

My workmate Amelia (http://www.lovemealzie.piczo.com) does lovely home-made cards... I'm sure she could do something appropriate if we gave her a Rainbow Bridge design :)

There is a place just off Manchester Road, I don't know what it is called but it is up a byway just past Rivelin Park going away from town. There is a small quary and a b+b, it advertises that they do memorial stones specifically for pets. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful with a name of the place. :(
