Nope! it quite open to all ladies too - as the subject title suggests: Ladies & Gents. So who would be yours?

Do we have to spend the whole night sleeping next to this person, or can we get out of bed once this person has gone to sleep? And we don't have to cuddle or anything, do we?

Well, I just don't think it's a big deal for the girls, not as much as i imagine it is for the guys.

To be honest, if my life depend on it then I guess it would not really matter who it was. If I was in a situation that made me chose then I guess anyone who was up for it, apart from the person who put me in that situation!!!

I sleep with someone the same sex anyway, even though my life doesn't depend on it, so to me the whole question is stupid and slightly insulting.

Ok Nick, if you already sleep with someone of the same sex then it doesn't really apply to you does it! Its a question for heterosexual people who would not normally sleep with someone of the same sex - like Phan said 'it's a thought experiment'.

perhaps nick, you might like to invert the situation into who would you sleep with of the opposite sex....

I think its an interesting question, since all of us have a biological gender, but clearly we do all find other people attractive regardless of theirs.


To make the question a little more symmetrical:

from " If your life depended on you sleeping with someone of the same sex, who would you choose?"

to "If your life depended on it, and your sexuality was different, who would you choose to sleep with?"

just a thought. No one is making fun of anyone's lifestyle here I hope.

Actually nick2, no we don't have disadvantaged donkeys in the UK, at least not to the extent that many other countries do. Even the founder of "The Donkey Sanctuary", the largest donkey rescue centre in Britain concedes the the problem of unwanted and mistreated donkeys in this country is more or less solved and is now looking abroad.

The reason that Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land was formed is that in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, donkeys regularly have their ears and tails cut off "for fun". There have been donkeys killed by being doused in petrol and set alight, donkeys thrown from tower blocks and even donkeys killed by having nails hammered into their heads. Donkeys too old or sick to work are simply turned out to fend for themselves and usually get knocked down by cars when they are wandering around trying to find food.

They may "just" be animals but the sort of people who are cruel to animals are usually cruel to each other. Maybe kindness to humans starts with kindess to animals?
