Just got back in the saddle after 5 or so years off the bike but need someone to go riding with... currently doing a few trails round Blacka/Totley Moor but want to build up to more challenging rides again. Anyone interested or know of any clubs where people aren't super fit?
Cheers
David

I cycled quite a lot with them last summer on the 'tuesday' rides, which look like they've just started again. They are evening rides and generally run once the clocks go back. They do 30 to 40 km over 2 or 3 hours, which sounds a lot but the pace isn't too bad really. The site doesn't make it clear who the rides are open to - members / non-members etc - unless it's changed since last year then all are welcome - just remember drink / chocolate / working brakes etc / hat / lights / money for pub grub en route.
otoh, I see there's been a few independent rides with SF members over the past months / years, so I'd be up for that if anyone's interested? Again, nothing heavy - I've not been out much since before the winter.
cheers 'IntheUK', I might give them a go, but it all looks a bit road orientated for my knobbled tyres.
Since putting up this post a few mates of mine have actually started biking again too, and we've had some excellent rides. We're aiming to do dark peak loops on the weekend and blasts around blacka moor one evening each week. Have been up to the lakes too and done some excellent riding near Patterdale and Ambleside.
We're all keen, if struggling for fitness a bit, so if anyone fancies coming along for some good mountainbiking with as little road work as pos, let me know.
Thanks
David

Pick me and my Bike up and I'll do a few trails with ya. Been meaning to use my Bike a little bit more often.
