HI all,

My 7mth old kitten has slighty runny eyes, one eye more than the other, they arent pouring with liquid, just look as if she has been crying (a bit red on the rim and wet)
One of them looks worse than the other, a bit is gunky but mainly just clear and sore.

Any ideas?

Could be a minor infection.

One of mine has this occasionally - I simply wipe the gunk away (carefully) and keep an eye on her. Normally it clears within a day or so and there are no ill effects.

Keep an eye on her, though - if she starts sneezing or the weeping carries on and gets cloudy, or the eyes look more inflamed or closed, take her to teh vets.

And if it doesn't clear in teh next couple of days, take her anyway.

She seems to be really struggling to open one of them ,it does look cloudy.

Do you think she will be ok until tomoorw?

She has never had any injections either because she is an indoor cat. My other 2 cats who are outdoor cats seem ok.

Cloudy eyes in piggies means infections, not sure if its the same with kitties

If she's not been vaccinated, please take her in to the vets.

Even if she's an indoor cat, if you have other cats they may bring buggies in.

Get her in to the vets and let them know whe's not been vaccinated, and what the symptoms are. It may be nothing, but as she's not had shots there's no point in taking chances.

keep her comfy in the meantime - it may be nothing but it's always worth checking.

Might be worth asking the vet about vaccinations as well whilst you're there.

Best of luck and keep us posted! :)
