Pulse and Vogue! Student days.... ah good times.

I remember the free busses that used to ferry hordes of very drunk Ranmoor/Tapton/Sorby residents down there and take some of them back at the end of the night. A bloody long walk if you didn't make the last bus.

And the songs on the bus on the way back were always comedy.

good days.......

Almost forgot about Vogue section.

It always seemed very busy and I'm surprised another club didn't take it's place.

It was fab,
They always played decent tunes and it was never ten deep to the bar even on a busy night.
Great times, such a shame it closed better than alot of places now.

Last time I went in Pulse, it was our work's Xmas night out. We had a meal in the Player's Cafe and then went in Pulse/Vogue and boogied the night away :D but we also used to get the free bus from outside Yates's ... it was SUCH an innovative idea at the time :headbang:

The place was purchased to enable the owner to get a drinks licence for his club in town.
Shame it was used in that way.

i think the reason why pulse closed, cos at the time, pulse moved to sheffield centre due to liecence being available and renamed themselves as kingdom nightclub. was ok, but you never can beat pulse

Pulse was never really my type of place but I went one Saturday night in 1999, met a very nice girl in there and we are still together now :-)
