Has anyone else nearly crashed due to the unexpected lane mangling at the brook hill roundabout?
It was a shock to me!
I didn't see the 'new road layout' signs until I looked hard for them.

I'll be interested to hear whether people think it'll help the traffic there - I'm not really sure myself.

They seem to have at last marked out the lanes correctly! Particularly actually showing the correct lane to be in when exiting to go up the right-hand side of the Arts Tower. I'm glad I no longer have to use that roundabout regularly - I'm always sure to be in the correct lane which seems to confuse an alarmingly large number of idiots who don't understand the concept of the roundabout or more worryingly, the purpose of the lane markings specifically there to help the stupid. For that reason, I doubt it'll make any difference. It'll certainly cause a few accidents to begin with.

I'm not sure that many people know which lane to be in.

Many times I've been cut up round there by other drivers, both under the old system and the new one.

Yes It would have been nice to have been warned and I havent seen any signs yet telling you it has been changed. I have found it better now myself once I worked out which lane I should be in!

I do think that roundabout is an accident waiting to happen it is so busy with cars going all over swopping from lane to lane. Then you get all the lights as you go off turinng to red then backing traffic accross the roundabout blocking off exits it is just a nightmare.
