Clowns-fairly normal
Balloons-i hate them with a passion , they fill me with fear, not completely irrationally, but if one floats towards, i make a hasty retreat!

things like burning to death or something scares me or falling off a cliff, i think it is the fact i know i was gonna die and was just waiting to hit the ground!

I think there is a special name for the fear of clowns.What is it that makes you frightened ? Is it the garish make-up ?

i have a horrible fear of clowns,,(and yes i clicked jabbers link silly fool i am!)

last year i went to blackpool on the pasaje del terror r summat like that,, if u havent been on it and ur scared of clowns then DONT!!!

i went in it and its a walk thru horror house with the likes of exorcist jason and freddy all jumping out at u,,, they r real people dressed up,, i was fine with that as i dont like many horror films so didnt know who half of them were untill we got into a dressing room with BLOOMING clowns everywhere!!!! and i was looking which was the real one,,, it happened to b the one less than 3 feet away,,, and oh my god did i scream!!!!! my bloke had been in it before but forgot they were in there!!!! not nice at all,,,

See, I'm thinking my support group idea is getting better and better. When I went for an op when I was younger in the childrens, they didn't tell me there was 6ft bloody clowns all over the walls so when they took me down to theatre, all doped up, there they were. I nearly screamed the place down.

It's not so much a 'phobia' but i can't bare touching the stuff.
It goes back to when i snapped my two front teeth as a nipper, the hospital got me to bite down on a wad of cotton wool and the exposed nerves came in contact with it.
It gives me the jitters just thinking of the stuff now

I hate insects, especially spiders and flies :gag: Daddy-long-legs are awful too, they're like a combination of both of them. I have to take a look around my bedroom before going in it... for some reason, spiders think of it as a breeding ground.

Waterwheels, locks, dams, in fact just about any combination of engineering+water will freak me out.

I have a (improving) phobia of puke. Not because I think I'll catch something as I've never been sick myself but I just know when it's there. Ugh!

I also have a very strong dislike of spoons that taste metally. Oh, and lolly sticks. Jesus, it makes me cringe!

Oh, this thread is sooooo funny! How I laughed at this link but also gasped in horror as I've seen the film and read the book IT which if you didn't have a fear of clowns before you would after reading that!

I think it's a common fear I've got loads including having loose teeth, earwigs and spiders, the great big brown ones that lurk at the back of the garage (black ones aren't so bad) and I hate anything to do with zombies! oh, and I also hate wooden lolly sticks, the thought of that makes me shudder....

i really really dont like Gnomes, im 22, 6'2, 16 stone, and every time i see one, im not so much scared, more angry and freaked out!! they should all die!

Spiders, wasps, pigeons... cos they dive bomb at you.
