A trip to cemetery for me:( Since when was buying flowers from Tescos fatal? fluffystuff 16-03-2007, 11:53 Yes Tesco do have some nice bouquets in. I bought some last night. If you do buy any in advance, cut about an inch off the ends of the stems, put them in cold water and keep them somewhere cool. They will be fine for Sunday. Trust me I used to be a florist cressida 16-03-2007, 12:43 buy two Tesco bunches and put them together, they also have a birdcage with a plant inside, and baskets with flowers in - big ones. (you can use the baskets afterwards which is useful) dibsy 16-03-2007, 12:52 Since when was buying flowers from Tescos fatal? I think they mean their mother isn't with us anymore. I've just bought a beautiful bag that contains tulips from Marks and Spencer, they have them in different colours and it was only £3.99........I'm not stingy either before any of you start as I always buy my mum quite a few bits for mother's day.....Thorntons choccies (her faves), some perfume and a me to you ornament....and of course her card with a lovely verse. :) ukstudent 16-03-2007, 15:17 Agree with dibsy, M&S do some really nice flowers that dont cost the earth. Just bought a large bunch of carnations for £2.99 and they're lovely. Get them whenever I need to buy flowers and they always stay nice for weeks and weeks |
