Anyone watch Hex last week on Sky 1? Repeated last night at 10pm and second one tonight at 9.
I am/was a huge Buffy and Angel fan, absolutely hooked and own all DVDs.
My partner and I had quite a pleasant debate about this being Britains answer to Buffy with her being a good/bad witch, the weird fella being her Angel, literally lol. Her lesbian friend is Willow/Spike as a companion and paranormal spy/informer etc.
What I intensely dislike is the Hollyoaks style of filming which I desperately hope they will grow out of a la Buffy.
Some of the script devices seem a little obvious but its only been one episode and they really moved through the story instead of waiting till the last 10 minutes for something to happen and being left with a thoughtful or cliffhanger ending like eastenders or something. ( I hate soaps).
I think the series has great potential once it grows up.
Anyone else got an opinion?

I was going to watch it...it looked really interesting, but then I clapped eyes on the characters names and ran a mile. A program that cannot even pronounce Azazeals name right it doesn't deserve my attention

I really enjoyed Hex, but I honestly can't see where they can go with the story. Once the novelty of its "Britishness" has worn off, how are they going to keep us interested?

I'm guessing they will delve into the history of the area and make a full revelation of the details of the deaths and probably resolving the dead spirits issues with the past.
Then there's the whole Troy relationship thing.... and Azazeal is bound to be some kinda love/hate thing.
Then they could take a 'Charmed' twist and develop new powers which she could use on others...
Meantime Im sure Thelma will abuse her postion as lesbian ghost in order to raise the male viewership, god forbid a tv channel should not abuse one of the most obvious techniques :D
Roll on Sunday - trick or treaters skip my house plz, I hate interupptions during the one hour I watch tv.

If you'd be so kind, could you fill me in on what happened on Sunday's episode? I only caught the last few minutes (which I was very annoyed at myself for).

Funky Dave I think Sunday's episode of Hex is repeated tonight on Sky One Mix at 10pm.

I thought it was terrible.

How many times did they feel it was needed to mention that the lesbian friend was a lesbian? It was stupid!

The filming was bad.

It was very unoriginal.

The opening credits give off a completly different feel to the actual show.

What they need to do is... axe it.

Teenybopper crap.

I found it funny on the 'i' button description 'for the switched-on generation' I mean... come on...

Funky Dave, if you missed it again I think it will also be repeated on Sat at 10pm Sky 1.
If it isn't or you cant wait or whatever, let me know and I can explain.

I'm ruddy well out on Saturday!! The only two TV shows I'm into at the mo are Hex and Battlestar Galactica, and I keep missing them!

Thanks for letting me know about the repeat though. I'll set the video for it.

I've only watched 2 episodes of this and I think it's really slow, not a lot seems to be happening. And I agree that the storyline of the lesbian friend is very unoriginal, corny and boring. They seem to throw in random scenes to get a bit of nudity, sex or swearing in just for the sake of it! I'm hoping it'll get better cos the storyline about Cassie's powers has potential to be interesting.

Is that the one when the women are all in sexy leather?
