Hi All
I managed to get hold of an adult male corn snake at the weekend. I've been looking for one for a while but had really struggled.
Anyway I brought him home and on Tuesday night I introduced him to my female corn. As neither had been hibernated I didn't expect anything to happen but I was ssooooo wrong!
They were certainly up to a bit more than a kiss and a cuddle!
It's the first time I have bred snakes and the whole thing was very fascinating, although it seemed a little aggressive at times (the female kept trying to get away from him).
So now it is time for me to go out and get an incubator etc just in case.
I'll let you all know if the breeding was successful and I might have some baby snakes for sale soon!
The female is normal stripe and the male is normal, so unless either of them are carrying any genes, the babies will all be normal het for stripe.
Thanks
Sarah
