Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I am wondering if it is possible to terminate a 6 month lease on a property (residential) before the 6 months is up as we have a pest problem, namely mice. We really aren't happy, we've had the council out and they have put poison down. I even saw one on the windowsil in the spare bedroom this morning!

I am ultra clean and it's not that we have attracted them by leaving bits of food about etc.

I seem to think that they have been in the property for a while as we noticed a smell when we first arrived.

We live on the first floor in some city centre flats - there are only 3 floors to the flats and they are relatively modern (I'm loathe to give away my exact location for various reasons).

Any help in getting us out of the lease would be most appreciated - they're putting me off my food!!

As I said above, we have had the council out. The issue is that we don't want to live here anymore.
