Jusr rang B&Q to see if they have any plastic panels. The type you would use for a replacement shed window or something.
They have just what i need but the size they have is twice as big (4 x 4 foot)
as i need. I told them im willing to buy the whole piece but would like them to cut it me as the wife is fetching it and she has the little girl with her. Nothing special just a single cut so that it can be carried on the bus or tram.
Well apparently they cant...............................
A, Cut it for me as they dont have the facilities or traind staff.
B, Let me cut it for myself.
Or
C, Anythig else that may contravine health and saftey:loopy:  :loopy:
I just dont get it???????

Is there nowhere else that sells it that may cut it for you? I'd have a ring around if I were you :)

Its supprisingly hard to find some clear, rigid plastice thats reasonably local:confused:
I have to rely on the wife to get it me if its a case of going somewhere so i think i may just opt for the online solution and let the postie worry about carrying it:hihi:

try a builder's merchant - they usually do cutting (though I suppose I only know of them doing wood) If you wer thinking of going to B&Q queens rd, Arnold Lavers shouldn't be too far out of the way, or you have to pass keyline to get there too

if it's plastic glazing, most glaziers carry this as stock too, and it would be very unusual for them not to cut!

The wife managed to get some from somewhere else on queens road. Thing is she got the measurments wrong and ended up buying 4foot piece anyway:hihi:
so my rant was pointless:thumbsup:
Wont stop me next time though;)

And your point is? I went into a shop with enough money for 15 fags but they only sold them in 10's or 20's - why couldn't they split a packet, I just didn't get it.

I suggest you buy it, wait till you're outside and cut it yourself.

I did ask them if it could be cut up in the car park as the wife didnt fancy cutting it up on Queens road,
The said no.
Next suggestion?

Demand to see their health and safety policy document, and their insurance policy, and offer to comply with everything you find contained within - mostly 'health and safety' is trotted out as an arbitrary excuse, but nobody actually understands or knows what they are actually driving at ;)

My other favourite is 'data protection act' - yes, those are MY details, and you have no right under the data protection act to be storing them on your system without MY permission [/rant] *confused response from call centre operative*

Next suggestion?Buy it there, also buy a saw, cut it on the pavement off their premises and then take the saw back for a refund.
