Hi guys
Did anyone see the fire this afternoon over the horizon east of sheffield towards the Meadowall direction. We just saw a plume of smoke over the horizion. Any ideas what it was?:help:

Been in childrens hospital today and word was going round that a primary school in S4 was up in flames. Thank god its saturday eh!

It was at my school, Byron Wood in Burngreave. We don't know how it started yet but part of the roof has come in, the ICT suite, library and nursery all gone.

yes i saw the fire it was byronwood school that went up in flames i live near and saw it all

Saw the smoke and some flames from Matalan retail park (parkway) and a fire engine went flying down the parkway. Was interested what it was and like someone said thank gods its Saturday.

take it you work there then... glad no kids were there, shame it was the ict suite and library. the areas in a school where they need most cash to get them up and running

I'd have been dancing in the street when I was a kid if my school had burned down. So would half the kids I went to school with.

LOL when I was there, it was called Burngreave and the "ICT suite" was a BBC Microcomputer wheezing at the back of the class while the software loaded up for about 3 hours before we could use it :hihi:
