I want a new phone that has a good camera, and have been very impressed with the cam on the K700i.

However I do not really want to move away from nokia as I think they are the easiest to use phones out there.

So, does anyone know how the cameras compare on these two phones?

Depends what your priorities are. If you want a good camera go for the k700i without a doubt. Brilliant pics, honestly. And the phone looks good.
The 6230 is a good phone, but the screen is fairly small and the camera is not half as good as it is on the k700i. Stylewise the 6230 is " a boring phone" lol... Very business like...
Nokia's are easy to use yeah, but boy have they gone down since I last bought a nokia. They look terrible and you definately pay a premium price just because it's a Nokia. These days Nokia doesn't mean a thing, there are loads of good phones out there!!

If you want a nice phone that has great features and i nice screen get the K700i. If you want a phone where the battery lasts more than ONE day get the Nokia.

I have a K700i and I'm very happy with it. However, as Mr Craig said the battery life is appalling. I don't use it much but am constantly having to charge it.

To be honest i thought there was something wrong with my K700 the battery life is so bad! I would really love to know where they got there claimed 300 hours stand-by time from.

If i was after a phone at the mo i'd probably go for a Motorola V3 (http://www.expansys.com/zoompic.asp?type=item&code=114906),but the a bit £££cha ching£££ at the minute.

Before I got my K700i I heard the battery life was pathetic. I've now had it a month and charged it 3/4 times so seems fine to me. Maybe they fixed the firmware..

Should I take it that the K700i has the best camera at the minute then?

i have a k700i and have no idea what people are moaning about the battery life for. I walk for half an hour every day listening to MP3's on it, keep bluetooth on all the time and make several calls and texts a day and i only charge it every 3 days and even then its not run out. It's easy to use and i would recommend it to anyone.

I loved my Nokia too as like you say very user friendly... Well i have recently got the K700i... Ericsson's are so much like a Nokia its untrue... i was a tad worried at first being a new make etc... i couldnt be more happy...

I highly recommend the K700i :D

Because it provides all the tools not gimmicks that I need.

Nokia 6230 = Business Mans phone
SE K700i = Girly Phone

K700i is more of a fashion phone 6230 is a business phone (replacement for 6310i)

Bit pointless on GSM and GPRS as MMS on those network levels can only take up to 80kb.
Need a wider rollout of 3G coverage and more uptake on handsets. This will superseed MMS as a Video message to some one of where you are / have been.

Just wait and see people, I got a few xmas presents awaiting... :heyhey:

I find the K700i great for work due to the quality of the camera, that said it needs to stay in a case most of the time as it doesn't bounce too well :)
