I would want to own a B&B, love cooking breakfast.

A cafe in the Peaks or the Dales, where the grub served would be nutritious, but simple, like stews, pasta etc.
I'd cater for the serious hikers, climbers, cavers etc, who want a good filling meal without the frills, and at a sensible price. The menu would be limited to maybe two or three choices, one meat, one vegetarian, and the portions would be HUGE.

Something in the BVI (the country, not a dodgy company which might share those initials). Nice and simple, like running a small shop selling fishing equipment (or something :suspect: ). Doesn't fit in with the whole dotcom millionaire idea, but then who cares when you can swim in crystal clear water, soak up the sun, sail and actually enjoy a good life...

A burlesque club - proper strip tease with the empasis on the tease rather than todays rather vulgar lap dancing clubs, big band swing, jazz nights, real cocktails and basically a civilised (if slightly decadent) night out - anyone want to go into partnership ;)

The problem with running a bar is that you have to work pretty much night and day and it can be quite stressful. You spend the day cleaning, re-stocking, etc. You then get a few hours break and then have to open up to the early hours, selling rich sods expensive drinks. You then get up at 10/11am and do it all again... paradise?

I would like to have a Fun Bar... somewhere central and friendly... Maybe overseas :?

My bar would have a free atmosphere... Defo the place to be seen ;) :partyhat:

where i'm from in london just lost it's v shop and there aren't any good independant music shops near by until you reach camden.. so i'd open my own record shop there, it's right by my old school too so a mass market of indie kids to draw in! Oh, and loads of actors and musicians live in the area to, so there are all the arty types too :)

I'd hate to run my own business - think of all the stress.
Nah gimme a normal salaried job any day of the week.

I think I ought to be Richard Branson MkII. I've got loads of ideas and no financial backing. I already run a small business and I'm just embarking on a second one, aromatherapy sales of oils, posh sopas, insense sticks, candles etc, probably online and undercutting expensive shops.

Unrealistic:

A beach bar on a quiet greek island, i know where, but i'm not saying because i don't want anyone to half-inch my plan. Play all the tunes I like, selling chilled beer and some simple mediterranean fodder, not in it to make money, just have a good time!

Realistic:

Property developing, urban and house design practice (um...i guess thats almost an architect then). With an ethical/slightly socialist stance. i.e. doing work for Housing Associations, self builders and the like on a discounted rate, whilst charging big bucks for those who can bloody well afford it! Its a long road but thats my goal.

I'd own a chain of nightclubs.. A massive cirlce shape with it spilt into 4 quarters with 4 different types of music, then in the middle a kind of like tower with me at the top in my office with windows all round facing each room.

Not gunna happen.
