All that praise they got but then look.......... we are third still, and in next round of CL. Well done Arsenal ..... like Raffa said...... we are not here to win the CC, we will go for the big one again ..... and after knocking out the holders, and probably the best team, nobody can rule us out.

All this 'we play too many matches' lark is ridiculous. Half the top flight wouldn't mind Arsenal's reserve side, let alone Man U, or Chelsea's. "Too many matches" is when you're hoping/desperate for a Cup run to generate income, while facing relegation from Div 1 down.

You can't throw the Cup because your club will fold, but you only have 19 pro players and every one has to throw their heart into it.

For the ultra-rich clubs to try to justify creating a cartel, almost, is obscene.

The problem is, we've all said it for a couple of decades, but nobody listens ........

Why do you think the top teams always play weakened sides in cup games.
Im not saying its right, but if you play your strongest side on a sunday in the FA cup, then play your strongest side in the Champs League on a Tuesday, .... the strongest side will be knackered by the end.

I think the big teams would be happier if all the cup games were decided with a toss of a coin straight after the draw. It's funny how important the FA cup becomes when teams get knocked out of Europe. I'm not a Liverpool fan or a Man U fan but I am looking forward to them meeting at some point in the CL.

No sympathy for Celtic then? That was deffinately a penalty last night which would have probably meant Celtic going through. They were good enough to give you a run for your money. Nice to see an ex Celtic player giving you a great leaving pesent.

Alex can't get a work permit to play over here at the moment. It will be interesting to see what happens should Chelsea draw PSV in the next round - will Alex play? Will UEFA allow him to play?

What are the odds on Chelsea v Man U tomorrow? UEFA are going to want to get rid of at least one English team , and I don't think Liverpool will get either of the other two as we have just knocked Barca out:hihi: . But you never know.

What I meant was , He hasn't performed as well at Arsenal as he did at Chelsea. Bit like Owen leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid.

There were two good calls for a penalty in my eyes :( , and one was stonewall. Tremendous performance from the Bhoys, trying to out-Italian the Italians, but it was all to no avail.

Larsson will ALWAYS be God(TM), wherever he is; he gave us hope in the dim, dim, dark days. I'm sure his heart is green and white more than yellow and blue now.

A fitting way to end his winter busman's holiday ;)

I know what you mean; some glances were 'too' slight, even in younger years :( , but his distribution near the box is still second to none.

Not that at all, Chelsea will win because Spurs are appalling away from home ;) .
