I want to be able to play my photo's on my DVD. Kit list ....
Digital camera
LG multi-format burner on computer
Panasonic DVD recorder

At the moment I can view photo's on the computer or I can connect the camera to the TV and view them. What I want to do is copy the photo's to DVD so that I can archive them and view them on the TV.
I have tried copying JPG files onto DVD-RAM on my computer and can view these photo's on my computer. If I try to view the same disc in my DVD recorder, the disc is accepted but seen as empty by the Panasonic (Note: the Panasonic does use the DVD-RAM format).
Does anyone know a way I can view photo's on the DVD.

TIA

If you can record in SVCD format you can do it.
There is software that you can use to make slideshows and proper presentations. I use one called Photos on 2.0 CD&DVD.
Later versions of Nero have a slideshow creation facility built in as well.

is there any freeware that allows you to do this?

I have sonics record now software on my box and to upgrade to be able to burn photos to show on a dvd player will be $29.99 which works out at a little over £16.

Is this worth it?

You could always buy a cheap CD writer (e.g. Ebuyer ref 58823, £13.42) nearly all which come with a copy of Nero, etc.

You can always sell the drive on ebay (minus software)

The expensive solution: Buy the Toshiba Sd 240E from 'Richer sounds' at Broomhill. It automatically plays your JPGs from CD.
Costs £49.95 - Tell them you saw it on there website and they discount it by £10:)
