Why do you need further lessons if you have passed!

If you've just passed and do a pass plus course you get a certificate which can then save you up to 30% when you go for insurance as it shows that you've got a bit of "maturity" after passing.

I know my instructor does them. Her name's Laura from Miles Ahead School of Motoring. PM me if you'd like her number. She mainly works the Handsworth area, but I believe she's willing to go further & can probably work it into her schedule.

I had insured my own car for a year as a provisional driver. So when i passed i already had 1 years no claims bonus. This amounted to a saving of around 35% on my next years insurance as a fully fledged driver so there was no need in me taking my pass plus, the insurance company advised me not to take it as it was a waste of my time and money.

So you're also not interested in becoming a safer driver then? Pass Plus is not just about saving money but introduces what is, after all, a novice driver to places and experiences they may not have come across before.

Such as?

I have been driving for three years now, i drove everyday with my boyfriend as a provisional, and have driven daily for two years on my own for work as well as for private use. The only part of the pass plus that may have been of any use was motorway driving and as soon as i had passed i took my car on the motorway and had a fantastic time on my own. I have never been a nervous or unsafe driver and i think that people who are become a danger to others on the road. I do in excess of 25k miles a year for work and around 10k for private use so i can't afford to be unsafe or nervous. If you cabt drive at night or in bad weather you shouldn't pass your test. I believe it should be a part of the test to prove that you can drive in all weather conditions, at night and on the motorway safely before you can have a liscence. This would save many lifes and reduce the number of accidents.

I agree fully with what you suggest but until it does become part of the test................................
