They sell them in Asda but they don't taste as fake and nasty (i,e, gorgeous ) as the Fletchers van ones.

You've made me want a rum baba now!

I'm sure the place on high street sells them - opposite NatWest. Could be wrong but I'm sure they do them.

When I lived and worked in West Cumbria, Birketts used to do real yummy ones. Soft pastry, coffee flavoured toffee on top with sickly cream inside. I'm sure they were the size of real elephant's feet too. :D

I only seen them when my daughter whent to her old school and ive not seen them since, but i remember them when i was younger. and theres always a van outside the school that sells bread ect and these elephants feet that taste just like the Fletchers ones that are big and full to the brim of cream, I know it not a flecthers van as it got anouther name on the side, and that's one thing i do miss from not haveing to go to that school. Ive not notice them anywere els.

You can get them in Copleys Cafe near the bus station. I sometimes treat myself to one with a milky coffee in there.

From Wikipedia:
A rum baba or baba au rhum is a small yeast cake saturated in liquor, usually rum, and sometimes filled with cream. It is most typically made in individual servings (about a 2" tall slightly tapered cylinder) but sometimes can be made in larger forms similar to those used for Bundt cakes.

The batter for baba is even richer than that for brioche, and includes eggs, milk, and butter.

It's also the sheep from Henry's cat (apparently!)

That bakery at Hillsborough- Lillys pork store? There used to be a Lilly's on Ecclesall Rd that sold them- biggest mistake ever shutting that one down- but I'm sure the one at Hillsborough still sells them

Right. All this has really made me want a cream bun of any sort, whether it's an elephant's foot or not.
I may try making some this weekend  (that's the closest one to lip-licking!!!)

Walked past them in Morrisons tonight but they only had them in a four variety pack and even I couldn't justify pigging four cream cakes!

Not exactly, chocolate eclairs are fine but lack the bulk of elephants' feet.
I love to get my teeth into one and take a huge bite so that the cream spurts out all over my mouth, nose and chin!!!
