my black cocker spaniel simba doesn't really like playing with other dogs, he'll either hit big dogs with his paws and growl at them or just ignore the other dog. we have a springer bobby aswell that loves playing with all dogs, simba does play with bobby but they more play fight! yet yesterday there was a black girl cocker spaniel and i couldn't believe how much simba loved her! they were playing properly not a growl to be heard! and he never does that! ( he has been done so is not interested in females like that) they were so cute 2gether, its so weird how they like playing with the same breed!! or a dog that looks the same as them!! this other cocker was identical to him!
Brude has a thing for anything with dangly ears! :D
He's particularly fond of spaniels of all varieties, and his expression upon seeing a beagle is usually ecstatic disbelief! :hihi:
Although the Chocador loves ALL dogs (and he is particularly fond of spaniels, he loves their dangly ears.), I've often noticed that he seems particularly pleased when we meet another labrador. I'm sure they recognise their own breed.
Brude has identified my handbag as a Beagle
same rounded chops, same dangly rounded ears, size is probably about right - the purple colour is a bit non-hound colour though :hihi:

Ours tend to look quite perplexed by anything thats NOT a husky. Maybe thats cos thats what they spend their time around. given up putting some mine in AV working at shows, cos a nighmare trying to stop them sussing out the other breeds

We used to have a Jack Russell that had a preference for white dogs. Got along with other white dogs really well. Hated black dogs. It was embarrassing to have such a racist pet!
