When I was a kid, ok it was many moons ago, my mother used to cook slices of potato in batter in the chip pan. We called them scollops.

Just bought something similar in tesco, they call them crispy potato slices:suspect:

I googled but it comes up with scallops

wow, thats expensive! ours were 5p (feel really old now)and absoloutly massive! great with relish on..
