i don't believe it, is my partners step mums 50th birthday on the 20th. They are having a family get together and we don't see them that much so really have to go! Am so sorry have missed 2 meets now!

I do have an idea though for someone who may be able to come and speak though about a dog charity they support. Will need to look into it though.

Would love to be able to get doing something as well, if you can say when you are doing car boots etc. if i can i will come and help. Cannot do the car bit though - sorry!

As we'd concentrated on cats for the last couple, this one is supposed to be a dog meet. RainRescue will be there, and we'll have updates of who managed to spread the word on the neutering, anybody who has fostered or adopted a rescue is welcome to speak (especially about how they have overcome any difficulties they've found along the way) and we can ask RR to tell us more about her mission :thumbsup:

We had hoped to have BV tell us about the husky rescue, but she is committed to work that evening. Moonbird is also contacting the greyhound people we know :)

Besides that, there's beer to be drunk :D

I have just had some news that means I cannott attend tomorrows meeting even though I desperately want to. Please could somebody thank jackie at rain rescue and I should be fighting fit for the next one.

Moonbird can deliver it to honest the cat shelter has been a little slow I wanted to go round this weekend but the gods thwarted that. the pc is coming along I have added the drive and bought the power lead I just need a monitor now i will be dropping them off sometime this week.

Guy who was swapping me shifts, can now longer do so..So at the last minute...I have to bow out for the meet tonight...Really sorry...I'm most peed off.....

I dont mean this week I meant in two weeks I can do most nights but most tuesdays from this week on so any day but tuesdays are good for me.

I meant, although our regular night would be thursdays, occasionally we may need to change it to accommodate people we've invited to talk to us ;)

I spoke to moonbird today i think she is going to sort something out. I am on holiday next week though hooray!!!

Just a quick write up about the last meeting.

First of all we talked qabout C.A.T.S and about different ways to get more funding, one idea was to hire out a room and some time to disabled people who find the contact with animals to be theraputic.
Then we discussed what we thought about the stray dog problem, and about how would people know where to ask about their lost pets if the worst was to happen.
Rainrescue talked about the neutering/spaying vouchers for staffies and rotti's, the scheme is doing very well and is still on-going .
Will set up a new thread tomorrow for us to decide the date of the next meeting.

Only just spotted this. Tuesdays don't suit as I have a class, but Thursdays are generally free for me.
