Agreed, May is possibly the most annoying character ever on Eastenders.
Don't know what her problem is anyway, I've seen her in an advert where she throws a tantrum on the floor in a supermarket, and she's got kids there - how many does she want?
Plain Talker 04-03-2007, 21:50 *lightbulb appears* Thanks, corr!!!
ahhh! I was wracking my brains trying to think which programme I recognised the woman in the "tantrum" advert from!

I know I've got to the stage where I should be reading the Daily Mail as that advert annoys me because she doesn't put the stuff thrown on the floor back on the supermarket shelves before buggering off! :hihi:
I agree, what woman in her right mind would giver her husband permission to have it off with another woman in the hope the other woman hands over a baby - as if!!

it worked as a plot device in "Lilies"... and that character was called May, too, oddly enough.
Must be something about May's that let their husbands put it about!
FallenAngel6 05-03-2007, 12:00 Eastenders ****** me off anyway...i hate soaps...give me some episodes of Angel, Stargate, Due South, Firefly or Farscape and i'll be happy forever...
from Fallen
I Like soaps but some of the stories are as far fetched as tea from china!
FallenAngel6 05-03-2007, 12:05 All the stories are far fetched all the stories are the same all the stories are very difficult to believe and im sorry but that many stories cannot happen in a small place like emerdale...gawwwwd
from Fallen
I agree no place could have so much misfortune or no one would live there but if emerdale was just about a little yorkshire village were nothing went off there would be no point
Green Web 05-03-2007, 12:09 Since when has Eastenders had story lines???
There mostly about affairs!
FallenAngel6 05-03-2007, 13:18 lol or murder!
Why would Stacey go with max uuurrrggghh! Then again why would Tanya?
FallenAngel6 05-03-2007, 13:23 I dont even know the names of the guys...i get them muddled up all soaps are the same...
Try watching something a little more captivating...Angel for example has lots of things going for it like...David Boreanaz :D
from Fallen
The story lines and characters may be the same as in any other soap but still you can't help watching.
Don't like Angel
FallenAngel6 05-03-2007, 13:28 Argh how can you not like Angel lol mind you i am a bit of a vampire freak (Not Goth).
But there are so many other good things on...really im telling the truth.

alternageek 05-03-2007, 13:51 i dont like buffy or anything associated with it.
i thought both the movie and the tv show were just *****, but thats my opinion. i also hate sarah michelle gellar.
i mean i only watch eastenders cause its something thats on, and most of the time its good for a laugh, but this may plot is just painstakingly awful. seriously last night they show the hubby contacting dawn to make sure she keeps the kid. why wouldnt she keep the kid? shes making mad bank for carrying it. shes just trying to distance herself from the hubby, psycho hose may and her asinine plan in order to keep her sanity. jeez.
I read that Dawn comes back this week and goes round to robs and may leaves a message on the answer phone to say she won't be back all night so that they can spend the night together. As if!!
And I think Dawn has left it a bit late anyway to consider abortion, isn't she 20 weeks?

i think shes 3 months. the last time i saw her on there she was having trouble with her blouse and trousers. around the end of the 2nd month things start to fit weirdly. so by now - even on eastenders standards - she should be at 3 months. i think last night may mentioned dawn is past the breaking point and that may herself miscarried around this point in her own pregnancy
She won't hand the baby over!
alternageek 05-03-2007, 14:48 serves the baby boiler right, though. if she just gave into all of dawns demands shed have a kid.
does anyone know why may cant have a baby bunny boiler of her own?
You can't just go round handing baby's over to other people anyway, but of course eastenders won't think of that!
Duno? If she's been pregnant before, why can't she get pregnant again?
thursday 06-03-2007, 01:18 Yes, May is awful, and I'm glad she's not my doctor!
I think she had been having IVF treatment, and the hospital / clinic had told her this (the miscarriage) was her last course.
They've had some weird doctors in Albert Square, when you think about it:
Dr. Legg who didn't appear to have a surgery, but did occasional home visits.
The ghastly Dr. Trueman, who was besotted with half the Slater clan.
His ridiculous replacement, who was also besotted with Slaters.
Now mad May..... and do doctors really go to the local pub with a crowd of
'local' people, who are, presumably, her patients?
carcrash 06-03-2007, 01:26 I think they should finish eastenders and with all the new buiding for the 2012 Olympics they have got the perfect chance to knock Albert Sq down as a new by pass is going to go straight through it.
I think Eastenders problem is that it tries too hard, and fails IMO, to be Coronation Street in London.
It's virtuallly the same IMO, central place is a Pub where most major characters have their big storylines such as the Mitchells etc...
FallenAngel6 06-03-2007, 13:47 So have we all come to the same conclusion that every soap tries too hard and are extremely boring (as in the sense that i would rather watch paint dry or fish swim insanely into the side of a fish tank...oh wait that is interesting).
Sorry all you soap fans but please make the world a better place and kick all soaps off the TV...

Not Neighbours! It's my reason for living! That and the fact that despite the fact she's nearly twice my age, I'm in love with Lyn Scully
Any woman her age who can still wear low cut tops and short dresses and look sexy definitely gets my vote.
