i have a problem when i play a movie in any player my movies appear really dark, when i try to adjust in wmp the sliders wont move, i used g-spot to make sure i had the right codecs, its beggining to be a pain now, any ideas any one please?

My system is:

athlon xp2500m
1024 ddr400
geforce fx5200(latest drivers)
asus a7n8x-e deluxe m/b

xp-proffesional, upto date but not sp2

Its still a codec problem. Its happened to m too, sometimes it was green also. It says you have the correct drivers, you just dont have the correct versions of them.

yeh thanks, i managed to finally uninstall all codecs then put the nemo pack on that works better as i can adjust brightness/contrast from sys tray

yeah, just keep playing with your codecs. nimo ain't great, includes a lot of stuff that you don't need and will only cause problems, but meh.
