I'm looking for new unsigned bands in sheffield (indie/rock, britpop) type sound. I work for a record company called 'parlour9 records' we are looking for new talent that we think may have that spark! Any demo tapes to send would be appreciated or any up and coming gigs?

Hi Lucy

I run the Apollo @ Barlborough (J30,M1) and on Saturday nights I have live bands/artists on. Many of these are unsigned but are extremely good. Feel free to check out our website at www.theapollo.co.uk or email me and come down yourself and have a look to see what you think. You may be able to give us some pointers ;)

I promote Live bands and singers on my radio prog on Sheffield live on Friadys.

I have recently promoted a band called Problem with Marie who have gigs at the Boardwalk and Trippets coming up soon, and the White Swan in Dronfield.
I have also been to a few of there gigs since and plan a live broadcast from one later this Spring....
I have some recordings they gave me on CD and some instrumental stuff by guitarist Chris Watson.
I also have recordings of a singer called Andrew Morley who also writes his own material and awaiting a CD from Dan Aspinal who I have seen Live.
Email me for more info on these and other bands I have lined up to come into the studio and play live and I will pass them on to yourself.
