There were the Quigleys, and Winky Norman who also lived on there. THe other side there were the Plummers, Robinsons, then an old bloke called Millington, who had relatives who lived further up. Then there were Fox's who lived opposite the old folks hut.

Jacksons, Harrops (or did they live on Oak Street?) Ray Wells, Staton's, Booth's who lived down near the school. Then there were Plants, Hadfields, Muriel Durber, and her daughters Margaret and Susan. Bolsovers, Guests,Liversey's.

Can any of you remember Jim Davies who used to keep horses?

I lived on the main road, in the nice houses :)

Booths were no relation to the Booth & Fisher that owned the coaches/ pit buses.

Now, more names for you. Kent's, Booths, Newtons, Chapmans, Farrahs, Barratts, Godley, Taylor, Turner, Buxton, Littlewood, Guests, Wells, Barnes.

Sorry but my memory isn't all that good where names are concerned.

Had to pick Winky Norman up off his front garden a few times when he failed to take the left turn to his front door whilst on his way back from the pub on his motorised wheel chair.
Winky died a good few years back now. Ray is still around

Oh & most of the Turners (ices) lived on what I believe is Station Rd - where the Rugby Club is.

Oh & most of the Turners (ices) lived on what I believe is Station Rd - where the Rugby Club is.

The Matriarch of the Turner family lived behind the shop, and in the yard where the ice cream factory was.

Some of the younger Turners lived on Station Rd, Young Howard, and his son Howard lived on there (at the side of scrappy Walkers yard.

Old Howard lived in the bungalow which was at the right hand side of the "little hill". The one with a lane to the left of it. I believe that the bloke who owned the shop at the bottom of Cadman St now lives in it (Ken Hopkins)

Lol Turner, the other one involved in the ice cream business lived almost opposite the bottom of Westfield Crescent, in the top one of those houses that are white fronted, with metal gates.

I had forgotten that young Howard was as prolific a breeder as that:o

Poor Cis (their Mother) must have had her hands full with that lot ;)

Your Dad always was the sensible one, but it's a surprise that Chris has moved so far away. I always thought that he wouldn't have survived this long... :P
