SWFC's board are threatening legal action against on-line members of two of their message boards. A sign of the worsening relations with the fan base...

I see that Owlstalk website has been taken down because of the threat of legal action following the free mag that the people involved were giving away.

As a Blade, I obviously do not want success on the field. But as a fellow footie fan, this man cannot be allowed to squash any sort of dissent shown in his direction by the fans of Wendy. The only way he will listen is with money and that is to stay away.

Yes, its pretty harsh reading - pot the last 5 years into 12 pages with graphs and you'll get the picture - lets say 16mil to 27mil in 4 years!

I think the most alarming for Wendy was in 1998 (i think it was) when they lost £23million in transfer fees (that is the amount of value of players released/sold compared to how much they had paid for them)

I can understand where Dave Allen is coming from though. We've got a new manager, a newish team who are just beginning to turn things round at the moment. We need everyone pulling together now, the fans included. The black balloon protestors are not helping at all. The players are under enough pressure as it is at home without certain fans letting off balloons in protest.

If it wasn't for Allen we'd be in administration by now. He was the one who paid for Sturrock who I believe will turn things around for us. He paid for Proudlock who seems to have hit a bit of form. He's also a wednesday fan who listens to praise and grumble every saturday, the phone-ins during the week and reads the letters section of the green 'un every saturday- he proved that he listens to the true fans by getting rid of the away card.

Even Bates has said that the appointment of Sturrock was a good move, we're beginning to stabilise which means all the fans have to do what fans do- support your club. The black balloon protestors aren't doing that. Also, how much did it cost to print all the leaflets or how much is it costing them to take Dave Allen to court to let them back into the ground? Why don't they invest all this money, time and effort into supporting Sheffield Wednesday?

Don't forget than we're only a point from the play offs. We haven't lost in the league since Sturrock took over and taken 7 points. Whats wrong with that? Why are you in agreement with a blade anyway? Its that what i'm on about, support your club for gods sake.

Ken Bates!!!. I am a Blade through and through but i think it would be better the Blades and Owls in the same league (preferably the premiership). I am impressed with what Bates did at Chelsea. Things like installing Marble toilets with Brass fixtures. As Ken Bates said, "If you make it like a home, The fans will treat it like a home".
I can't fault that!...

I know toilets do'nt make a football club but if you'r down in the gutter, you've got to start somewhere!.
