muddycoffee 10 #4 Posted March 3, 2007 Companies have been specialising in reproduction guitars since Jimi Hendrix's day. With so called "authentic marks and blemishes" Indidentally have you seen the state of Eddie Van Halen recently. BTW his guitar was called the frankenstrat, due to it staring off with a strat body. carcrash 11 #5 Posted March 3, 2007 The new shop on eccy road has some very nice guitars in that would cost a lot more so they say.
 Share this content via...
Sierra 21 #6 Posted March 3, 2007 Indidentally have you seen the state of Eddie Van Halen recently. I have, and I'm still in shock. How I lusted after Eddie Van Halen in the late 70's. What a waste. Sierra
 Share this content via...

LukeD 10 #8 Posted January 6, 2008 Back to the original point... It's kinda ironic cos andy summers bought his telecaster off some kid in the 70s for only $200!! And it was already modified!! I don't think fender would be churning out repros if the kid still owned it would they.
 Share this content via...
willowwisp2 10 #9 Posted January 6, 2008 I have to agree G Bone. (You any relation to the legendary T-Bone Walker, guitar God?) I've been in the Eccy Rd shop and found the ponytail man off hand and rude. I took a top end, mint Strat in to test the water re them buying it and he gave me the usual b******s about them being worth next to nothing and that he could get them brand new at the drop of a hat. The model was discontinued in 2003 and they're like rockin' horse s***e so I assume he's got a time machine as well as bad hair. Chris_Sleeps 10 #10 Posted January 12, 2008 Back on track, i found this website selling vintage instruments. Link Nearly £45,000 for a 52 Tele. How can you spend that much on one instrument? That's insane.
 Share this content via...
Code13 10 #11 Posted February 4, 2008 Didn't Kurt Cobain always play some cheapo copy? No doubt you could spend thousands to replicate that one too.
 Share this content via...
Chris_Sleeps 10 #12 Posted February 4, 2008 Didn't Kurt Cobain always play some cheapo copy? He had a love of Fender Mustangs with a hint of Fender Jaguar thrown in. Not cheapo copies per say. Source: Kurts Equipment.com
 Share this content via...
