As a young teenager how many can remember when it was possable to drive up High Street, then Fargate around Barkers Pool with the Fountin and back down High Street, and it was two way until I think it was 68/69 then they tried the one way system on a trial basis. I can remember as a Laugh 3 of us in the car decieded to try the Daz Chalange, or was it Omo, but 3 lage packets went in the founting as a passing motorist and the efects were something different. The suds looked great with the couloured lights.
What Happy Days.

I remember passing my test in the 60's and not long after parking on Fargate - there was a cafe somewhere. Me and the 'lads' went cruising (well.... as best you could in a Ferd Anglia) up the Moor - along Pinstone Street and parking outside the cafe to impress the ladies - cannot remember it working though!!
