Does anyone know where there is a spiritualist church in sheffield and what nights you can go there?? Thanx for any replies..

I think there's one on Whitham Road at the junction with Severn Road. (near Weston Park Hosp.)
There used to be one at the bottom of Northumberland Road on the opposite side of the road to THe West End pub

theres one at Darnall just round the corner from balfour carpets off staniforth road ( cant remember the nights tho its years since i went) and theres one down attercliffe on bold street , never been to this one just got told about it, its supposed to be the best of the two.

theres the open circle at whittam road weds nights at 7.30
they do healing on thursdays from 2 till 4
and theres a service with a guest medium on sundays but I am not sure of the times .
I attend the open circle from time to time its a nice friendly church well worth a visit

the church around the corner from balfour carpets at Darnell is excellent.I used to go on a regular basis.As far as i know, thursday nights is for anyone,£2 entry.Friday night used to be for a developing circle.I haven't been for about 18 months but I would highly recommend this one.

i worked bang opposite one on bold street at attercliffe its attercliffe spiritualist church i used to see people coming at nights when i worked afternoons its open most nights but they is a board up outside telling you whats on they have healing clairvoyance and something called circle ?????

There is a Spirtiual Church in attercliffe just off Newhall Road, I think they call it Bold Street. I think Wednesday night is when they hold meetings.

Theres also one at Stocksbridge that hold open circle every Friday 7.30pm and have a guest Medium every month. Brenda is the guest Medium this friday 12th at 7.30pm.

We went past it trying to find our D .V.R meeting.
Ive been to several spiritualist churches. in the past at various places.
use to frequent bold street sometimes and the one that use to be in the old vestry hall at pitsmoor.
once went to one near scout shop in town but didnt rate it.
isnt there one near staniforth rd.

theres also a couple of good ones in Doncaster just off M18 if thats not too far for you to travel!! also believe Rotherham to have several good churches many of the speakers/ mediums travel round the various churches in Sheffield, Barnsley, Donny etc anyway!

i went to one near meadow hall and the factories, but thought it was a load of rubbush. they had us singing westlife and everyone seemed to "feel" something. I personally thought what a load of c***. i got to collge in stocksbridge and met a spiritualist there and even she said its pants there too. the one in stocksbridge supposed to be good, but she would say that!

I used to go to Witham Road about ten years ago, it was ok.

The real action was down at Bold Street though - the stories I could tell you about that place - arguments, threats, barring, and accusations of demonic posession!

I think the last time i went to bold street was in early 90s.
A young chap who played the organ use to give messages.
And the best one there was a lady , small with dark hair and glasses who would have been in her 40s then.
I Think she lived near firth park and she was always spot on.

i got to the darnall church every thursday night at 7.30pm to the open circle and the night is brilliant, they charge a £1 entry to raise money for the church, a quid is nothing for what u experience...dont be so tight. the mediums are voluntry in the open circle nights so they aint getting paid to do it! and the mediums are so spot on its amazing

and theres free tea coffee and biscuits after!!

go on google and type in spiritual churches in sheffield and click on the 1st one that comes up and theres a list of where day and time

Yes its how they keep the lighting on and heating on when its the cold months, Waitin for some to did deep when passing the plate round never kinda pays for the bills :-)

Fri is Devel class 6:30pm
Sat special (platform speaker) 7pm
Sun Sunday service 6:30pm

Yup one at attercliffe is free, as they still pass the plate around after the open circles have done, How they pay the bills on what some peeps put in I will never know.

Funny enough Im heading down to Bold street tonight, Not been for many a month to the place. As Im normally at Darnell every Thurs and dont find the time to goto Bold street.

theres one on tuesdays 7.30pm till 9.00 at shirecliffe community centre entrance £1.00 ive never been but my sister went 6 weeks ago and has been back every week since !

When a complete stranger who knows nothing about you gets up and tells you about the things youve been doing over the last 2month and what others within your family have been doing, And can even tell you things you dont even know untill your home asking others within your family or m8s Then how on this earth can that be a Confidence trick ? Mind reading ? Try again m8. I come across so many like you these days, Never in a church though for some strange reason.

Yes Ive heard of it, But did you read the part I added Try a few churchs before slating things.

You go with whatever you feel is right for you, as your going to be one of those who will only see and hear what they want too anyways even when the trueth is bang infront of you (the old saying Cant help some peeps)

Sounds like youve had a bad message or cant get to grips that life goes on after we pass from this life as we know it.

But having been within the churchs for many years I know whos been conned and it aint those giving the messagers as they would only be fooling themselfs by doing so, now had you had a private reading and your upset or feel ripped off then I can understand why your being the way you are, but dont class all the same as the odd one who maybe false.

conned nah always go with an open mind and never feed em info Let them tell you (can never be conned that way)

Or keep away if your too scared or dont want to know or hear from the other side as its sometimes called NO ONE IS FORCING YOU to go. Just adding info for others read and help them find these places.

Its not in sheffield but i would recomend the Wombwell spiritualist church. Its really friendly and the open circle is fab with loads of great mediums :) x

hi there is a spiritulist meeting at jordanthorpe community centre on the 9th jan starts at either half 6 or 7 really friendly and not too busy i go myself and really enjoy the atmosphere upthere everyone is made to feel welcome :)

You have a medium on the platform and to start of with they normaly do a small speech , prayer and hymes then the medium will go on to do readings , then once finished hymes and prayers ..

try them if you havent already if you have then you will be very disappointed at the jordanthorpe one

i think they still have one at bush meadows new comunity center..well they did before christmas............

some times their at the wadsley bridge club..........

This is just to let people who visit Darnall church know that one of our best mediums passed away this morning 1.45am. Pearl Shutt Had been ill for a few months before finally closing her eyes and falling asleep.

May she rest in peace, She will be missed by all from around the churches in sheffield

Pearl was one of the best around and will be missed by many people, the church has lost a massive Spiritualist Medium, and its members have lost such a good friend.

The church will never be the same, Nor would it even try to be the same as no one wants to replace Pearl, The church will however do as Pearl would like and that is carry on and try and bring peace happiness to all that attend.

Pearls family have asked that only family flowers be sent, but any donations will goto Macmillan.

We have however been granted by Pearls family to send a reef from the church and all those that attend, all donations are welcome and cards are around for you to put your name too.

funeral for Pearl Shutt is on the 25th (tue) at st Marys church Handsworth Still unsure of time. When I know for sure I will add to this and the other thread.

Sunday divine service 6.30, Monday Open circle 7.30. Wednesday, display of mediumship £1.50 (To pay for mediums expenses some have to travel to sheffield from outside area) 7.30 start.
Saturday open circle. 7.00 start. Monday and Saturday nights there is also spiritual healing.
