I attended Hallam primary school in the mid 60s,I remember a boy who was a year above me,pretty sure he was called"Robert Cuttle"he lived I think on redmires road lodge moor,he had what I can only describe as the "mallen streak"you know a white flash in his hair,I went to school one particular morning and the then headmaster"Mr Holmes"informed the whole school that Robert had died in his sleep!!the poor lad would have only been 10 or 11,I often think of this lad and have done many times over the years used to walk home with him occasionaly, just wondered if anyone could recall this happening and where he was laid to rest as I would like to visit it,many thanks.
The GRO Deaths index has this entry:
GRO Deaths MAR Qtr 1967
CUTTELL Robert P. 10[years]
Sheffield 2d 190
It is likely, but not certain, that at that date he would be buried in one of the Municipal Cemeteries such as City Road. (Cemeteries listed here (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/environment/how-we-work/bereavement/cemeteries)). If you can get to Sheffield Archives (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/in-your-area/libraries/find/archives/sheffield-archives) (Shoreham Street) they have all the burial records on microfilm including indexes.
