hi i've just been given a old jones electric sewing machine but i can't thread it up:confused: .
does anyone know where either on the net or in a book i can get instructions i haven't used a machine since school so i'm rusty to say the least:hihi:

You have a couple of options as far as the internet goes. You could enter the make and model in to Google and see what comes up. You could also have a hunt for specialist sewing machine shops who stock current machines from the manufacturer and email them to see if they can help.

I'm not familiar with Jones though; are they still making machines? If they're not, you might have difficulty with some of the shops as they only tend to have info about the models they currently stock.

Is there a sewing machine shop near where you live? There usually isn't a great deal of difference between machines in how they're threaded. Someone who knows about sewing machines should be able to figure it out even without the manual. Good luck :) .
