On the way to the station (see this (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1917)) I was following yet another white van with a "No power tools are stored in here over night" sticker on its back. This always makes me laugh. I wonder if it's interchangeable with "Power tools are in here!"?

I'm now considering putting one of these stickers in my car, possibly saying "Don't bother looking, I've taken the radio cover out" or maybe "My CDs are really bad, you won't get much money for 'em".

It's like those "Baby on Board" stickers you see - does anyone really think "Well, I was going to ram into the back of that car, but since there's a baby on board, I will keep a safe distance".

LMAO... they always make me think the same thing! I mean, how stupid!?! Still, not as silly as the sign I saw on the motorway saying "Speed cameras not working" ... ! What were they thinking? Were they really working and they thought that might catch some people out!?!

I love sarcastic signs though. I saw one outside a university building saying "When the floor's full, please use the ashtrays provided." :D

A car has crashed into the back of another.

The first car has a notice in the back window saying "If you can read this, you are driving too close".

The driver of the second car says to the policeman "I was just trying to read that sign in the window..."

I used to have hand-written signs on my car that said:
'Don't bother, some other b*gger nicked it all months ago, and NO I couldn't afford to replace it.' and
'Don't bother, the dog ate the radio'
Both statements of fact, and it actually seemed to work.

There's one white van I've seen which has a notice saying somthing like:

"If this van is being driven carefully, please notify the police as it must have been stolen"

I saw a van with a sticker like this and some kind person had smashed the window and added "Just checking" on the sticker!

I saw two classics a while back.

A European left hand drive HGV, with 'passing side' scrawled on the rear left and 'suicide' scrawled on the right!

And another one that said, er, 'Preston North End, Pride of the North'

It said 'Mother-in-law in boot' :hihi: :heyhey:

It's incase a car is upside down in a ditch in pitch darkness.
It alerts emergency services to a possible unconscious child

Or it tells the driver behind that the driver in front maybe distracted after a sleepless night & is likely to make an irrational move - beware  :heyhey:

My other car is a Porsche
I particularly find this one irritating

I've always assumed this is EXACTLY what is meant by the sticker! :D
