It could be overheating, does the case feel hot?
Are air vents clear of obstruction eg dust / cabinet walls

Hi mrmist

No the case doesn't feel hot & all the vents are clear of dust & there is nothing obstructing the vents.

new ram required - otherwise take the side off and point a fan at it

and what information are you basing that rather expensive solution on then fred_notdead ? and are you prepared to reimburse beanz just in case, and I know this is unlikely, but just in case your diagnosis is incorrect ?

this could be anything from a hardware fault (possibly including the ram), glitches in the mains, a software error, a virus or malware or even a hacker with nothing better to do

making blithe statements with no supporting evidence is irresponsible at best

Had a similar problem over the xmas period, turned out to be a sticky boot up button, press and hold in for 30 secs or more. did the trick for me.

right click on my computer / properties/advanced/start up and recovery/settings
make sure automatically restart ISNT ticked, that stops you getting bsods, trouble your computer suddenly restarts for no apparent reason, obviously you may get blue screens frequently, you just then have to work out whats causing them.
if it is that of course

Could this be a graphics card problem?Mine does it when using graphic type thingies.I have 2mem sticks and have run as singles and doubles, same with 2 hard drives, all seems secure and not running hot.Graphics card is built in.Still keeps rebooting.
