Hiya, anyone know where/how to meet decent men in Sheffield, ive been single for a year now and Im sick to death of it !!

A dating agency, a bar, through friends etc.

Silly me, hadnt thought of that. All friends are male and at work and not allowed near them or will get sacked. Bars full of drunken fools !!! Pah.... not sure about dating agency..... lots of money??

Not all bars are full of fools. Depends on the bar you choose and the time you go. Weekend nights are mayhem. Mid week is quieter for many places and easier to talk to people.

You could try chat rooms on the net.
Also, try doing a college course that attracts men more than women.

Unfortunately work late in the office so college course is out of the question.

How about setting up a website. Put your picture on it with some info about you (like/dislikes).
What kind o' guy you're looking for.

An email addy for contact details (no addresses or phone numbers) then screen your applicants that send in pictures and hey presto, jobs a good un!

By the way I met my now Fiancee in a nightclub... so it is possible to meet good ones!

I met my bf on www.match.com - and neither of us are sad weirdos so there you go! You can search profiles from your local area and there's far more men than women! Made a couple of good mates too.

Chat rooms are a bit too ambigious for some.

The trendier bars in the city centre (everyone knows what they are) are good on nights like Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Some of them get overcrowded on Wednesday's because of people going before Bed nightclub - I'd recommend going there with a few (less attractive) lady friends and they'll complement you perfectly. ;)

Waaaahhh, only just checked this after a while !! I am female !! Just thought Id update, been on love@lycos, try this site it is cool, been on 3 dates this week ! None of them were saddos either (thankfully) - hope this helps others - gonna try the match.com suggestion aswell but too many answers on lycos right now, will take me at least a year to date them all...... oh well, someone has to do it !

Finding dates.
Thanks for info about finding dates in Northern England.It's no problem at Christmas.The shops are full of them.Especially the popular brand "Eat me" with the camel on the label.But the rest of the year it's like searching for a needle in a haystack ( something our farming friends do when looking for a fix).
