I need to tax my car at lunch time preferably - I have all my car document, MOT and insurance certificates but I've left that form they sent me at home - do I need it or can I fill in an alternative at the post office? Tried to find out on the DVLA website but it's a bit tricky to navigate - either that or I'm not looking properly:thumbsup:
I'm not sure to be honest, you could try ringing the post office.
i walked into my PO without a tax notice (car was SORN) they just took log book from me, MOT and insurance and presented me with a tax disc.
i think the log book was the critical component.

Gold star to Ruff for "most helpful weblink"! Looks like I'll be ok after all...Thanks everyone for your input! :)
Hope you use the PO rather than the online website to buy your license because that's the only way we'll keep our Post Offices.
You dont really need to take the V11 form they send you through the post
I renewed mine yesterday
As long as you got your log book, insurance & MOT cert....they can renew your tax
thats what i did yesterday
They just scan the barcode on the log book and ask you wether you want 6 or 12 months tax
simple
