I generally don't mind making up the knitting once the pieces are finished, but the dolls' cardis have been a right old pain in the bum to seam. I made an effort and seamed three of them this evening and sewed the buttons on too, but even when fortified with a glass or two of wine I really couldn't get into it.

I think the problem was that they're so tiny and fiddly, and I was half watching an old episode of Midsomer Murders at the same time.

On the plus side, I did make a pom pom to go on the top of a tiny little hat. I think I was about seven the last time I made one of those  .

I know what you mean I pile them up and wait until I am in the mood to finish them off and "tart" them up with ribbons and bows. I have about a dozen to do but think of the satisfaction when they are all done.
I can't say I would enjoy watching the programme but agree with you on the wine or gin or vodka or martinior.........................

I really find the making up a bind too- I'm much more of a planner than a completer/finisher. Maybe I need to pair up so we do parts of the job each?

That would be good but I dont know anyone who would want to be the completer finisher:hihi:

Yeah- that's a big flaw in my plan, isn't it?

I've had a few people asking if I offer a sewing up service at the shop! As if!!! Hate sewing up - would rather knit it twice more.... Why does it take so long to do? 3 weeks walking round looking at it and a whole night putting it together :help: I agree that it is very satisfying when it is sitting there looking remarkably like the picture on the pattern... |(hopefully).

I like to sew up while watching a good murder! (on telly that is), you don't need to concentrate much, and hopefully everything ends up in the right place. :D
