Does anybody remember Alf & Vera Taggart.. they lived at 35 Carrfield Rd, Heeley Green in the mid eighties?

I lived on Carrfield Rd from '80, for the next 22 years.
When we first moved there, there were rows of terraced houses on both sides of the road top, leading down from the (then) mini-roundabout at the Co-Op corner.
Travelling down the road the first right would have been Gerard Street, which at that time also featured a stonemason's yard.
All the terraces were cleared early 80's : No 35 would have been on the left side of the road, travelling down the hill.
After all that, sorry - I don't recallthe people you mention, but presumably most/all were rehoused when cleared.

Thankyou for your reply, The Taggarts were rehoused there from High Wellington, Broomhall flats to Carrfield Rd in 1986 when the terraces were brand new... I remember the co-op, I was only 13 then... you might remember Susan And Stewart, I cant remember their Surname but they had beautiful Labrador dogs

I remember Alf and Vera, they were friends with my grandparents when they lived on the Broomhall flats, they still kept in contact with them after they moved to heeley cos that where we lived.
