Hi,

Ever since I had a problem with a virus a while ago, which AVG got rid of, the system32 folder opens on start-up, with the 'These files are hidden' warning.

Any idea why? Is it something to worry about?

Haved you checked the start up folder check its not set in their

otherwise its MSCONFIG i suggest you look at but if ur computer minded then dont mess with it.

This is a suggestion ONLY!

probably the virus was deleted but the registry entry got left and windows ends up trying to run C:\Windows\System32 which will open an explorer window in that directory

possibly

had something like that on a w98 system where the application didn't like spaces in the path, everything installed ok but the startup program was c:\program files\somethingorother consequently C:\program came up in explorer on every boot
