Does anyone know of a good and easy to use 2D animation package? It's to be used in schools by Primary Children with the use of DV Camera's. The program they used before is no longer supported by the newer DV cam's they are using.

Thanks for any help.

[EDIT]
Found one called Stop Motion 4 no worries:)

Macromedia flash, kind of easy to use and will work with any video file.

Costs quite a lot but obtainable for free via file sharing networks.

Paintshop no longer comes with animation shop (i think the last one that had it was version 7)

what type of animation software are you looking for?

I would recomend Flash if the type of animation is Motion, Shape and Guided Tween animation (i have tought a few kids the youngest aged 8 and 9 to use flash MX for creating animations)

it's not designed as stop-frame sticher tho (it can be used to do this, but it's not really where it excels.

if you are looking for a package to turn lots of still frames into an animation then Animation Shop is one kind of thing you are looking for - there are also quite a few free options
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jpgvideo.html and
http://clayanimator.com/english/stop_motion_animator.html being two that i'm aware of but a google of "stop motion animation" will no doubt give you more to look at

You've soooo not read the forum rules. Free via file sharing networks is illegal! Plus, primary school kids using Flash? Do me a lemon....
