I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that there is a Mystery Play enacted at Easter somewhere on the outskirts of Sheffield (Ecclesfield area??) Is this the case, does anyone know. I'd like to see it if there is one. Thanks.

There is something like it held up at Stannington, on the afternoon of Good Friday (more of a "passion play" than a Mystery play, but.... meh)

As an Ecclesfield resident, I assure you it is not here. Mystery Plays are/were performed in the churchyard in Worsbrough Old Village, Barnsley, during the summer months. However, I think it is/was only once every four years.
