Hi
Can anybody help with details on how I might find out the name of the family who would have lived at 2 Stephen Hill, Upper Hallam, Sheffield in the year 1901???????:)
Have you tried the 1901 census - it can be accessed through www.ancestry.co.uk, or www.genesreunited.co.uk. I think you have to pay a fee to view though.
Hope that helps... Good Luck!!!! :)

On the 1901 census it is marked as To Let - Empty. Sorry :(
At number 3 is Thomas Pursehouse and family, and at number 1 is George Marples and family.
If it is information on a property you want, the best place is to search the deeds registry at Wakefield (or get a professional genealogist to search for you ;))

I found it on the 1901 census, we have an ancestry.co.uk subscription. I found it by looking through a 1901 directory at http://www.historicaldirectories.org/ and then searching the 1901 census on the name of a person marked as living at Stephen Hill in the directory, once I had found them, I browsed until I found the property you were interested in :)
