Has anyone been to the Wig & Pen recently. I was there last night & found it very expensive for 6 fish fingers & a peice of french bread it came to £20.

Not had food, but go in now and then for a nice beer in a relaxed atmosphere and had no complaints.

Does sound a bit expensive, but also sounds a strange thing to order from a tapas menu!

I order plaice goujons & pork rilliettes (that looked like cat food).

I went a week ago and had an excellent meal. One of the best steaks I've ever had and a really ace chocolate dessert. :thumbsup:

Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for and the ambiance and service are perfect.

Yey! i love the wig and pen. Dead chilled out - just a shame it's off the beaten track. Needs a third pub near it and Boho to make a pub crawl - (personally I'd love someone to work on Sola and turn it into a late night bar again that serves quality food during the day)

We went to the Wig & Pen for lunch on Saturday and it was excellent. I had the pan-fried gnocchi and my partner had the boston baked beans. The food was great, service was spot on and the atmosphere very relaxing. Nice way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon. The food and a bottle of wine came to £24 so not expensive compared to other places.

lunched there today & as usual had a great time, still at the top of its game as far as I can see.

W&P is a great place - wouldn't like it to get too popular though, its only small and seating is limited!

Never eaten there so can't comment on the food, but the menu always looks agreeable. Have just looked at the menu and I can't locate the £20 'fish fingers' anywhere. Must have been a special... :rolleyes:

W&P is easily the finest eatery in Sheff. Never had a bad meal there and I've eaten there lots of times.

awesome place - went yesterday - 2 lunch time meals, 2 pints and 2 vokda's and cokes £28 - EXCELLENT FOOD AND TOP SERVICE!

£20 for fish fingers and bread - pull the other 1 its got bells on it - there is nothing on the menu over £10.

i like it that much im thinking of moving to The Chimes (across the road) so its my local....

Shh! Stop telling everyone how good it is - or we'll never manage to get a table next time we go ;) :hihi:
