The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University are joining forces to introduce students to prospective employers. They will be holding two fairs on 19 and 20 October, which will not only be open to the University’s students, but to all students and recent graduates in Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Autumn Graduate Recruitment Fair on Tuesday 19th October at the University of Sheffield’s Octagon Centre will showcase more than 60 national and regional employers, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rolls-Royce, Sainsburys, Teacher Training Agency and many more, all offering graduate opportunities.

For students at an earlier stage in their course, the Student Employment Fair is the place to find placements and internships, part-time and casual work, organisations with voluntary opportunities and gap year projects abroad. The Student Employment Fair takes place on Wednesday 20 October, at the Octagon Centre.

Michelle Dexter, Fairs Manager, for Sheffield Universities Recruitment Fairs said, “The Fairs, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Independent and Graduate Prospects are extremely popular, so much so we have had to increase the size of the exhibition to meet with the demand from employers, who are keen to make contact with students and graduates from Sheffield’s and Yorkshire’s universities. It’s an ideal occasion for students nearing the end of their courses to meet and question some of the leading graduate employers. And the Student Employment Fair is a great opportunity for students because early experience of working life improves career prospects no end.”
