Greetings everyone, first post and all that jazz! Is anyone on here into Sheffield's finest singer/songwriter Richard Hawley! His last CD 'Lowedges' is a classic and he deserves recognition nationally!

Heard this guy on Jonathan ross a few months back, does the pulp have some connection with Lowedges, as far as i know the song was named after the Sheffield suberb.

He's played guitar with Pulp for the last few years and before that played in Sheffield bands The Longpigs and Treebound Story. As far as I know he's from Firth Park and his uncle is 'legendary' Sheffield bluesman Frank White.

Thats the guy, I believe he is big in the U.S as well, I,m ashamed to say Frank White does not ring a bell with me although i,m suprised i have not heard of him.
